About Exchange
For their 2019 summer programme Aspex has commissioned three artists to create new artwork in response to the theme of Exchange and all of its
potential meanings.
From July - September 2019 we invite you to explore the exchange of skills, knowledge and experiences; ownership and the trading of items, as well as currency and value
Artists
Rhiannon Armstrong
Rhiannon Armstrong is an award-winning interdisciplinary artist with over a decade of experience making works with empathy, interaction, and dialogue at their core, often with unfiltered audiences in mind. Rhiannon's contribution to the project was funded by Interreg France Channel England Programme, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
Monica Bonomo
Monica Bonomo’s work utilises the colours extracted from plants. Her interest centres our ever-changing relationship with earth resources.
Susan Stockwell
Susan Stockwell is an established artist working across sculpture, installation, collage and film. Her practice is concerned with examining social and colonial histories and engaging with questions of social justice, trade, cultural mapping and feminism.
