About Aspex
Aspex is Portsmouth’s leading contemporary art gallery, situated behind Loch Fyne restaurant in Gunwharf Quays.
They have over 38 years experience in showcasing the very best emerging contemporary artists, which means that when you visit, there will always be something innovative, intriguing and exciting for you to see.
The gallery, located in a Grade II listed naval monument, boasts three exhibition spaces, an Artist’s Studio, Learning Space, Craft Shop and cafe. Admission is free.
The cafe at Aspex is run by Port Coffee, a new coffee experience combining the traditions of Portsmouth with tasty Czech influences. Port Coffee is supported by Southsea’s favourite artisan bakery Bread Addiction.
We know some cafés and galleries can be a bit stuffy about children - Aspex is anything but! There is plenty of room for buggies and fun menu choices, including favourites such as kids hot chocolate, mini-sandwiches and baby cappuccinos. It is also breastfeeding friendly and has baby changing facilities.
